| So I got around to watching the Blu-ray release of Monster House and I have to say that I am disappointed and yet very happy with the experience. I am disappointed because I thought the direction, though at times was very good, was also very gimmicky at others. The art style is very good looking, but the animation tracking for motion just seems "off". The script had some very good lines in it, especially Jenny's "Are you mentally challenged? Because if you are I'm legally certified to teach you baseball." But on the other hand, I did not get a real feel for why I should really be watching the movie, as there is nothing too grabbing in the film.
